First, we want to send all of our thoughts and prayers to #EmilysEnsemble! For those of you who don’t know, Emily Sasfai is a 12 year old dancer from New Jersey who had brain surgery today and the Broadway community is showing support for her by using the hashtag #EmilysEnsemble. Broadway Balances America is a new miniseries coming to Lifetime beginning on August 9th. It will highlight national tour productions like Annie, Newsies, and Pippin. We are not sure if they will highlight the national tour or Broadway production or both. But you should watch the series anyway! The first episode will highlight Annie. Check your local listings!
Jessica King (Billy Elliot) will appear in the upcoming Annie movie! She is a dancer in the final scene of the film. You can read an article about her experience over at Patch.com. We are very excited!
