WAITRESS Auditions in Orlando

Waitress is coming to Orlando Mar. 20-25 and is looking for two young girls to play Lulu during the run.
The character of “Lulu” is a sweet and carefree 4 to 5-year-old who appears in the production’s finale scene. Qualified young girls should be shorter than 4’2” and be no older than 5 years and 3 months. Individual applicants are welcome, as are sets of twins or siblings. Space is limited to the first 60 applicants to sign up.
- Each girl will appear in four performances.
- Qualified girls should be shorter than 4’2″ and younger than 5 ½ years.
- Girls should wear comfortable clothing to the audition. (The costume will be overalls and a T-shirt.)
- A headshot, resume, video submission and prior acting experience are not required.
- The audition will consist of each girl reading two lines from the show, and will take about five minutes.
- Parents will be notified within one week of the audition if their child was chosen.
- The two chosen girls will be signed to a contract with Actors’ Equity Association (the performing arts union for stage presentations) and parents/guardians will receive information on becoming members of the union.
- Parents/guardians will be required to fill out paperwork provided by the producer in order for the production to apply for the proper work permits as required by the local city and/or state in which the child will be performing. All paperwork must be completed in a timely manner. All permitting will be the sole cost and responsibility of the producer.
- Space is limited to the first 40 applicants to sign up.
The character of “Lulu” will be cast locally in each tour market and two girls are chosen to share the role. Each girl chosen will perform in 4 performances each during the one week engagement.
